Love for my clients, each client is like my family and one that everyone who knows me know my family is very important to me. Even though I only see them once a year it’s like we have been communicating all year. Their growth in their finances is extremely important to me because I know money can be terribly stressful. However, when they implement the plans, we discuss things change.
Sometime's it's not the finances but the personal relationships that is built. They feel comfortable enough to share some very personal things and we talk through them. In my early years I would deny I was minister because they were there to get their taxes done. But over the years it became very apparent that God wanted me to help individuals in the community by them sharing their intimate problems from marriage, ministry or just life in general. My staff use to stay you need to do counseling sessions after tax season. But I always followed the instructions of the Lord. From giving counsel to providing free service...I never knew who He would tell me give free services to but I was obedient even when it didn't make sense.
One of the most memorable times was when a husband began to pour out his heart to his wife. He began to apologize and sob. I remember me getting up and closing the office door because at that very moment they were the only people I needed to focus on. No mind you this wasn't planned but it was ordained by God. They had challenges but from that time on they were able to communicate with each other. I loved that part of my ministry, yes that was where it all began.
The most important part of what I do is to a build relationship with those God send into my life not just my office because they become a part of my community.
